I have been following Charles on Facebook and Twitter for a couple of years now, and finally ... after going on date after date after date, and dealing with "what is out there", decided it was time to buy and read this book. His advice on FB is so spot on.
What can I say? I love this book. LOVE. Most of what he says makes absolute sense. While reading on it last night, I had a positive thought about myself, and the kind of person I am...which is massive for me (my self esteem - not so great).
This book does not and is not aimed just at single women. It is aimed at people - men and woman, single or married on in a relationship. He offers his advice on why things are the way they are. He offers advice to men and woman that can only help. Further, being a single woman who has read so many self help books, columns, blogs, etc., that tell women to change who they are for men - Charles tells you NOT to do that. He encourages a woman to be herself, and not to be afraid of that. If a man cannot accept you for who you are, then he is not the one.
He encourages men to think outside the "Man's Man" mentality. He encourages you and offers advice on being an equal partner with your wife/significant other and what I love is how he points out - this is the woman you love, chose to marry, chose to make a life with. Doesn't she deserve the best of you and what you have to offer?
I cannot say enough good things about this book. I feel motivated to work on me right now, more so than I have in several months. And I'm excited. I have this book to thank for that.
