The Husband's Secret

The Husband's Secret - Liane Moriarty It took me awhile to get to this one, but I finally did thanks to my library. I found it to be an interesting read more than anything; learning about another country and their traditions was one thing. I found the characters to be interesting as well – just regular individuals like you meet every day in your own life. While you do have the story/plot of the title – the successful wife who finds a letter that her husband has written to her only to be opened in the event of his death – there are other stories involving other women that she comes into contact with. You have the story of an older lady whose daughter was murdered as a teen, as she struggles with the fact that her son will be moving to America with her beloved grandson. You have the story of a woman who owns a business with her husband and her cousin who comes home after being told that the husband and cousin have fallen in love with each other. They all weave together to create a great, entertaining read that is hard to put down. I have to admit that I had the secret figured out pretty quickly, but no matter – it was still a great way to spend a few hours.
